Description
The water cake looks like a large bowl of jelly without the colour, but its makers insist that it’s cake. The strange dish is a variation of the well-known Japanese rice-cake confection, Mochi. The cake is made with agar agar , which makes the cake melt in your mouth. It looks like it might pop if you poke it with a needle, but it can actually be eaten with a spoon! It is also known as the Mizu Shingen mochi. It is served with gula melaka , grinded peanuts powder and a mint leaf as garnishing. We also have other toppings for customers who are allergic to nuts.
